Potato cakes are terrific for breakfast. Mashed potato cakes later a cheese wonder in the middle.

The ingredient of Potato Cake

  1. 2 cups mashed potatoes
  2. 1 egg, beaten
  3. u00bd cup all-purpose flour
  4. salt to taste
  5. 1 pinch garlic salt
  6. 1 tablespoon butter
  7. 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

The instruction how to make Potato Cake

  1. In a medium size mixing bowl put in mashed potatoes, egg, flour, salt (if needed) and garlic salt. blend well.
  2. Melt butter in a large frying pan exceeding a low heat. Drop pancake-size (4 inch circles) lumps of mashed potatoes into the frying pan. Pat to flatten to 1/2 to 1 inch thickness. Sprinkle some cheddar cheese onto the mashed potato cake. Spoon more potato fusion over the cheese. Flip the potato cake beyond like the bottom is browned (about 10 minutes). Brown the added side (about 10 minutes).
